How to safely light one of our scented decorated candles

Updated: Sep 19, 2023

Many asks me if it is safe to leave blooms or dried fruits when burning a candle? The short answer to this is YES.

At LSC, we make sure that we make our candles correctly with any type of dried flowers or fruits in a way that is as safe as any other candle. The positioning of the dried blooms and fruits to be on one side of the candle make it more safe than spreading all the decorations around the candle. All the decorations are real dried blooms or fruits, that means if they touch the fire they will easily burn out. I always recommend people to remove the big pieces of blooms and fruits before lighting the candle. They are mainly for decoration purposes.

The dried herbs that you can sometimes find in the candle as part of the decorations are safe to stay in the wax while the candle is burning. They can add more fragrance and texture to the candle. Also pieces of dried orange, lemon or lime slices are great option for candles because the hot wax will heat these fruits and give off a wonderful aroma.

At LSC, we take decorating candles very seriously, hence why you find specific blooms or fruits in each candle we decorate. We cannot add any recommendation of fruits or flowers because we tested all our decorations before we put our candles out there.

With the wax melts, there is no need to remove the dried flowers because they will just be left on your wax melter when the wax is all melted.

As we always say, please do not leave a burning candle unattended because accidents can happen especially if there will be a small breeze of wind. Make sure you always extinguish the candle when you are not around.
